This site looks at some interesting aspects of the history of  Newcastle and its hinterland within an 80 km (50 mile) arc.  My Newcastle is located in New South Wales on the east coast of Australia.

Born in the suburb of Hamilton, I have lived in the Newcastle area for most of my life. Having traveled to a number of countries including locations in South America and Africa I am aware of the providence of living in a relatively wealthy country with good governmental structures.  My interests are photography, technology and local history.  Phil Warren
